2009 was a tremendous year for Birmingham Synchro. In regional
competitions the club won gold medals in 26 events, silver in 13
events and bronze in 8 events. The season came to a climax with
superb performances at the National Championships resulting in a

medals for the 12 & under team and the 12 & under duet.
One of the club's senior members, Yvette Baker moved to Aldershot

Young "Learn to Synchro"
group

Success breeds success and membership of the club increased significantly
during 2009 with many younger members joining and the Celebration
Display provided the newer members with the opportunity to perform
their routines to an audience for the first time.
At the Celebration Display a large crowd of families and friends
were joined by a number of special guests including Birmingham's
City Swimming Coordinator Sid Hardy, who commented "The display
was absolutely wonderful, be it the young Learn to Synchro children
or the Seniors. The skill level that the children reach never ceases
to amaze me".

achieved during the last year, 2009 was one of our best years ever.
